Thievery Under Color of Law

Thievery under color of law...

is STILL thievery... and nanny government thievery may in fact be thievery of the most dangerous kind...

As C. S. Lewis succinctly put it, "Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."

And Daniel Webster profoundly summed it up as follows: "Good intentions will always be pleaded for any assumption of power. The Constitution was made to guard people against the dangers of good intentions.

"There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters."
