Congressional Cowards

The political pasture in Washington -- as throughout these United States -- is today grazed and overgrazed by moral cowards and poltroons who quietly gorge their ochre and saffron bellies on the public meadows and at the public granaries... ignoring their constituents, with callous and derelict disregard for their elective responsibilities... while the rampaging gliberal wolves freely and openly devour and destroy our freedom, our families, our heritage, and our humanity.

It is simple cowardice which has removed prayer from our schools, the ten commandments from our courtrooms, and respect for human life from the Hippocratic oath. It is simple cowardice amalgamed with ignorance which rationalizes calling sodomy "marriage", perversion "gay", adultery "an affair", and infanticide "choice".

Senator Zell Miller summarized the situation well in a recent floor speech, the transcript of which can be read at Deficit of Decency

I commend to all who want to pass to our children a free and principled society in which to raise THEIR children, these words from Senator Miller, "... at times like this, [your] silence is not golden. It is yellow."
